I received a copy of Thrive Through Yoga from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Whether you long to live with less stress, reduce anxiety, find the confidence to follow your dreams or simply find more happiness and meaning in your everyday life, Thrive Through Yoga will take you on a journey towards health, strength and freedom.
Thrive Through Yoga unites ancient wisdom with modern psychology to create a revolutionary route to freedom from the anxieties and worries of 21st-century living. This life-changing 21-day journey maps out a clear path to healing and personal growth through daily yoga routines, heart-centred explorations and meditations. Find the inspiration, guidance and courage to let go of whatever is holding you back, transform struggle into strength, and grow as bold and brave and beautiful as you were born to be.
Thrive Through Yoga is a beautifully presented book that helps your find a path to health, strength and happiness.
Set out in a 21-day program, each day has a focus, and each focus is broken down and explained in easy-to-access detail to help your get the most out of it. Each yoga sequence is laid out with clear photographs of poses, as well as how long to hold or repeat each pose.
The beginning features sections on author Hobb’s journey, her goals for the book as well as researched sections on what it means to thrive, as well as the disorders, diseases or other distresses people may find they have in their life. The information is clear and simple and there are further references at the back of the book for anyone wishing to follow up.
The last section has a very clear yoga pose glossary, with larger photographs of what each pose should look like as well as instructions for how to achieve the pose for maximum benefits.
As someone who’s only recently (and haphazardly) started practising yoga, Thrive Through Yoga is a great way to start, because there’s a clear program to follow, simple steps and a guiding philosophy behind it. If you’re new to yoga, this might be a nice place to start.
