I received a copy of We’ll Never Have Paris in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jules aka “World’s most annoying laugher”
It’s Christmas Eve, one of my last nights in Paris, and I get stuck in a tiny elevator with the insufferable, grumpy Welshman from downstairs. I’m wearing nothing but my skimpy PJs and totally inappropriate spike heels. Oh, and the light’s gone out.
What could possibly go wrong?
Colin aka “Ebenezer McGrumpypants”
She’s the neighbor from hell. Loud, brash, and American, with the body of a pin-up and the laugh of a wild hyena. My only wish is that she’ll move out and be done with Paris forever. Fate, apparently, has other ideas because tonight of all nights, when the city’s shut down and half the population’s gone, who should I get stuck with in what has to be Paris’s tiniest lift? You guessed it. Her.
Only, now that we’ve gotten up close and personal, everything’s changed. Suddenly, the problem isn’t getting rid of her anymore. It’s finding a way to keep her…forever.

We’ll Never Have Paris by Adriana Anders is a fun, steamy contemporary romance novella about a grumpy Welshman and a sunshiny American set in Paris during the Christmas holidays. Jules is living in Paris, staying in an apartment that belongs to a friend from college for a few months before she moves onto her next destination. Her bright, live-life-out-loud personality grates on Colin, a local pub owner who’s not quite sure what to do with her. When the two get stuck in the building elevator on Christmas Eve, Jules and Colin finally have a conversation that’s been a long time coming.
This little story was a delightfully fun book to read one afternoon – and while I’ll always want more time with Anders’ characters, this is the perfect holiday novella about two opposite personalities who find themselves attracted to each other. There’s character growth from both Jules (who finds it hard to settle down and stay in one place) and Colin (who’s working through feelings of guilt) and a lovely helping of side characters who don’t give up on either of them. And, because it’s Adriana Anders, there’s plenty of steam and dirty talk, too. I had a great time with the book and it would make a fun addition to any Christmas tbr.
